I am in deep love with these

No Christmas is real without traditional Finnish Christmas tarts. Oh, they are so incredibly delicious.

Finnish christmas tarts are actually relatively simple to do, there's even ready-made dough sold in select stores. Here's one recipe: http://recipes.wikia.com/wiki/Joulutortut_(Christmas_Tarts)

I see, basically sweetened and cooked prunes on pastry. The recipe doesn't mention the caster sugar which those in your photo have. I'll have to try, I like prunes! I have them with my breakfast every morning :)

Casted sugar is for decorative purposes only. Yes, give them a try, they are super delicious. The choice of dough is important, since the taste varies quite a lot based on its quality.
